Lagos-born artist ONX has issued a new two-track project, Swag City, a collaboration with independent musician Scotty Olorin that draws on the energy of the city’s underground scene.

The release follows ONX’s return to Lagos earlier this year, where immersion in the local community of emerging artists and producers shaped a new creative direction. The project emerged from the pair’s first studio sessions together.

Two contrasting tracks define the release. “Purple Cup” channels the swagger, hustle, and late-night pulse of the city, while “StarShine” takes a more reflective look at ambition, faith, and the pursuit of a better future. Production was handled by OYB and WorldRetro, with mixing and mastering by South African engineer Bakergothekeys.

Accompanying visuals, shot through a GTA-inspired lens, reinforce the project’s themes of style, nightlife, and youthful drive. Swag City reflects ONX’s current creative approach: collaborative, intentional, and rooted in the culture of his hometown.
