Irish DJ and producer Saoirse has released “Body Movement”, her debut single for CHAOS/Polydor Records, a track that channels the ethos of her queer-led London festival into a club-ready anthem. The release comes as she signals a renewed focus on production, with further material expected shortly.
The single takes its name from Body Movements, the queer-led festival and cultural platform Saoirse co-founded in London five years ago. It distills the event’s values into what a press release describes as a “club-ready anthem celebrating the transformative power of movement”.
“For ‘Body Movement’, the message is simple: move your body. I think movement is one of the most underrated forms of self-care we have. So many of the DJs and dancers who have been part of this culture for decades seem to age incredibly well, and I don’t think that’s a coincidence,” Saoirse said.
Saoirse, who runs the trUst label, recently headlined South London’s GALA festival. She has indicated that more production work is “coming soon”.
