SoundCloud has launched The Upload, a weekly music discovery show curated and hosted by its editorial team, designed to counter what the platform calls “algorithmic fatigue.”

Described as a “TL;DR for music discovery,” the show features “must-hear tracks and the stories behind the most exciting emerging artists.” Each episode presents new music from emerging acts across a diverse range of genres, with SoundCloud team members delivering sub-60-second introductions that add context and background.

The initiative is intended to “put the human curation back into music discovery” by surfacing tracks that algorithmic recommendations might otherwise miss.
