A series of tour announcements, charity events, and festival line-up reveals arrived this week, tempered by a string of high-profile cancellations and a touring hiatus.

Tour Announcements

Steve Lacy will embark on a 27-date North American tour in support of his latest album, Oh yeah?, following the placement of the title track in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Japanese promoter Creativeman has entered a partnership with AEG (Anschutz Entertainment Group), a move that will enable ticketing platform AXS to broaden its footprint in the Japanese market.

RÜFÜS DU SOL confirmed a touring hiatus once the group completes its current “Inhale / Exhale World Tour.”

Charity Events

Chappell Roan announced a two-night charity engagement, “Super Graphic Spectacular,” set for the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles this October. Proceeds will benefit organizations supporting trans youth and LGBTQ+ communities.

Noah Kahan‘s second “Folk and Fairways” event will take place in Vermont this September. The two-day gathering will feature a golf tournament and a solo acoustic performance by Kahan, with funds directed to his mental health awareness organization.

Festival Updates

New York’s Central Park will host the third edition of the We Belong Here festival in October, with headliners including LP Giobbi, Bob Moses, and Ben Böhmer.

The Global Citizen Festival, also in Central Park, will feature Ms. Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean as headliners, with Hugh Jackman serving as host.

Australia’s Good Things Festival will be headlined by Limp Bizkit this December.

Wizkid will headline the second edition of Detty December Fest in Lagos.

Australia’s Laneway festival has removed Adelaide and Perth from its 2027 schedule, reducing its route to four cities.

Atlanta’s ONE Musicfest will take a hiatus in 2027 after 16 consecutive years of operation.

Cancellations and Postponements

Rod Stewart cancelled his remaining tour dates and Las Vegas residency after a coronary stent procedure.

Morrissey cancelled his Las Vegas residency days before it was scheduled to begin, citing “unforeseen logistical issues.”

The LA Jazz Festival cancelled most of its performances hours before the event was set to start, attributing the decision to “public safety” and “municipal costs.” John Legend and Janelle Monáe were among the scheduled headliners.

A set by the Fugees at Ms. Lauryn Hill’s Diaspora Calling! Festival was cut short after the performance hit an 11 p.m. curfew, leaving several of the group’s biggest hits unplayed.
