Tixr has entered an exclusive ticketing partnership with Propaganda Independent Venues (PIV), a UK grassroots venue operator. The deal covers PIV’s five venues, including Barfly in Camden Town, XOYO London and Birmingham, and Cardiff’s Tramshed and The Globe.
Under the agreement, PIV will retain full ownership of its fan relationships and data. Tixr will provide ticketing services across the portfolio.
PIV was formed in late 2025 when Dan Ickowitz-Seidler and Richard Buck acquired the UK venue portfolio from TEG.
PIV director Dan Ickowitz-Seidler said the company sought a ticketing partner that shared its approach after acquiring the venues. “When we acquired our five venues last year and formed Propaganda Independent Venues, we wanted to create an independent venue group that could be entrepreneurial, agile and do things differently. Ultimately, we want to give artists and music fans the best possible experience, so it was important to find a ticketing partner that shared that mentality.”
Wayne Grierson, managing director for UK and EMEA at Tixr, said the partnership was aimed at venues that are “independent, community-rooted, and ambitious.” He added: “Together, we can unlock new revenue, give fans more flexibility, and return control of the experience to the venues where it belongs.”
Grierson also described the existing ticketing infrastructure for grassroots venues as “rigid, outdated ticketing infrastructure that limits what [grassroots venues] can offer fans and artists alike.”
