AEG has renewed its naming rights partnership with telecoms group O2 for the London venue through 2038. The agreement also expands customers’ access to tickets.

The multi-million-pound renewal covers another 12 years and has been described as the UK’s largest-ever venue naming rights renewal deal.

The original agreement was signed in 2005, two years before the AEG-owned and operated venue opened in 2007.

The extension includes two changes to customer benefits:

  • The number of tickets available for shows at The O2 through Priority Tickets will increase by 50%.
  • O2 and Virgin Media broadband customers will gain Priority access to shows at indigo at The O2 for the first time.

The venue will mark its 20th anniversary in 2027, with special events set to feature performances by Maisie Peters, Jorja Smith and SOMBR.

Paul Samuels, AEG Global Partnerships President, said: “Over the past two decades, The O2 has become one of the world’s most successful and recognizable entertainment venues, and this landmark agreement ensures we can continue investing in the venue, enhancing the fan experience and setting the standard for premium live entertainment for many years to come.”
