U.S. Latin music recordings generated $542.2 million in revenue during the first half of 2026, accounting for 9.1% of total U.S. recorded music revenue. Streaming contributed nearly all of the category’s revenue.

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) reported gains across multiple formats, including:

  • Streaming: 96% of Latin recorded music revenue.
  • Vinyl: revenue increased 246% from the previous measurement.

The RIAA’s press notice did not identify the comparison period for vinyl’s increase, leaving it unclear whether the figure represents growth against the first or second half of 2025.

RIAA Senior Vice President Rafael Fernandez Jr. attributed the results to audience growth and label investment.

“Latin music keeps raising the bar as more fans connect with the artists they love and discover new favorites”

“These mid-year results show that expanding reach and a healthy music marketplace where sustained label investment helps artists break through, find fresh audiences and build lasting careers.”
