Sound Rink and Laylo have partnered to help artists manage tour presales and collect fan contact details for future campaigns. The arrangement connects tour announcements with sales and direct fan signups.

Announced on Tuesday, September 29, the partnership gives artists support from Sound Rink to set up and manage Laylo campaigns, whether they are joining the platform or already have an account.

Laylo supports ticket, merchandise and content releases. Sound Rink says it can combine mailing lists, social audiences, e-commerce contacts and other fan touchpoints to promote concerts and gather signups.

Laylo also identifies Sound Rink as an affiliate.

Pilot campaign results

The companies cited presale and VIP (very important person) revenue increases over artists’ previous tours in several pilot campaigns:

  • 2 times the previous revenue.
  • 3.5 times the previous revenue.
  • 16 times the previous revenue.

These company-reported examples do not represent a platform-wide average. The announcement does not specify the scale or terms of the individual comparisons.

The companies said one established group gained nearly 20,000 fans through teasers and show-specific registrations, generating nearly $200,000 before its tour started.

They also said an emerging band generated more than three times its previous tour’s gross revenue during presales.

Company-reported sales totals

Sound Rink says it has sold more than 500,000 tickets across over 250 tours and paid artists $24 million since 2023.

Laylo says its campaigns have generated more than 250 million fan actions and $1 billion in sales across tickets, merchandise and content since 2021.

Fan signups and Bandsintown integration

Registrations tied to a venue, city or date can help artists identify demand, including interest from fans who do not immediately buy tickets. With consent for further messages, those contacts can support later sales campaigns.

Laylo also offers a partner integration with Bandsintown that lets independent artists and marketing teams collect contact details through tour dates embedded on their websites using the Bandsintown Widget.

When fans register interest or join presales or waitlists, their email and SMS (short message service) opt-ins automatically sync to Laylo. Artists retain ownership of that data indefinitely.
