Ticketmaster has officially entered the Uruguayan market, launching a dedicated website and agreeing to acquire local ticketing platform RED UTS.

Fans can now create accounts at ticketmaster.uy to purchase tickets for live events. The acquisition, the company said, will combine RED UTS’ local market knowledge with Ticketmaster’s global technology and scale.

Ticketmaster stated that the deal will bring secure ticket delivery through Quentro and fraud-prevention tools to Uruguayan consumers, offering what it described as a “simple and transparent ticket-buying experience from start to finish.”

“At Ticketmaster, we’re constantly working to make the journey from discovering an event to walking through the venue gates as seamless as possible. Our expansion into Uruguay reflects that commitment, combining technology, innovation and local expertise to deliver a better experience for fans while supporting the continued growth of live entertainment across Latin America,” said Adam Newsam, EVP, Latin America, Ticketmaster.
