Warner Music Group (WMG) will open a technology hub in Bengaluru in September, expanding its Global Tech division and placing the city at the center of its worldwide engineering strategy.
The hub will support technical innovation across WMG’s global technology ecosystem, with work spanning music distribution, data infrastructure and products. Its remit includes core data pipelines as well as audience and marketing data products.

The operation will be led by Mahesh Rao, Director of Software Engineering and Site Lead for India. He will report directly to Toronto-based Chief Technology Officer Leho Nigul.
