Secretly Distribution has signed worldwide distribution agreements with Los Angeles label Naya Beat and Brooklyn label Nature Sounds. The deals cover physical and digital releases, marketing and technological support across both labels’ output.

The first releases under the agreements include an upcoming Naya Beat collection of dancefloor remixes and reworks, alongside Nature Sounds projects from Los Angeles rapper Blu and Brooklyn rapper Your Old Droog.

Distribution and release support

Secretly Distribution will provide the following services for all releases from both labels:

  • Physical and digital music distribution
  • Digital and retail marketing
  • Technological support

Nature Sounds founder Devin Horwitz said physical releases and the relationships they create between artists and fans were central to the partnership.

“We’ve always believed in the importance of physical releases and the connection they create between artists and their fans. That’s a big part of why Secretly Distribution feels like a natural fit.”

Horwitz also cited the distributor’s understanding of independent music, physical retail, digital music and streaming as reasons for the agreement.

The two labels’ catalogues

Filip Nikolic, also known as Turbotito, and Raghav Mani, also known as Ragz, founded Naya Beat in 2019. Its name translates from Hindi as “new beat”.

The label focuses on dance and electronic music from South Asia and its diaspora. Its releases include the Naya Beat Volume series, reissues, remix projects and compilations.

Its catalogue has revisited music by Asha Puthli and Punjabi disco recordings. Supporters include Solomun, Peggy Gou, Damian Lazarus, Gilles Peterson, Nu Genea, DJ Harvey, Tim Sweeney and Colleen Murphy.

Nikolic and Mani said the agreement would support their work with archival recordings and new and emerging South Asian artists.

Founded in 2003, Nature Sounds has focused on hip-hop while developing a catalogue spanning jazz, soul, funk and reggae, with an emphasis on record-collecting culture.

For more than two decades, the label has allowed artists to develop and present their music on their own terms.

Secretly Distribution’s label roster

The two labels join a roster that includes Secretly affiliates Dead Oceans, drink sum wtr, Ghostly International, Jagjaguwar, Merge Records, Sacred Bones Records, Secretly Canadian and Numero Group.

Other label partners include Hayley Williams’ Post Atlantic, Rhymesayers, Third Man Records, Ipecac Recordings, Run For Cover, Asthmatic Kitty Records, Joyful Noise and Father/Daughter.

The roster also includes Big Crown, Colemine, Jazz Is Dead, Oh Boy Records, Org Music, Invada Records and Awesome Tapes From Africa.

Recently announced additions include Blue Flowers, Hopestreet Recordings and Ubiquity.

The agreements follow Secretly Distribution’s Distributor of the Year win at the 2026 Libera Awards and the launch of its Asia-Pacific division and a bespoke repertoire management system.

The company has also handled releases from Phoebe Bridgers and hundreds of other artists.
