Rob Waller, a former executive at Live Nation, has joined DHP Family, the UK’s largest independent promoter, which stages more than 1,000 shows per year.

The move returns Waller to the independent sector after eight years at the touring giant. He will continue to develop his roster of established touring artists and work on new events and concepts as part of DHP Family’s senior team.

Outdoor concert brands at Live Nation

Waller spent eight years with Live Nation before stepping down in 2025. During that time he conceived, launched and programmed a series of outdoor concert brands across the UK.

  • Margate Summer Series at Dreamland
  • South Facing Festival Series at Crystal Palace Bowl
  • Colchester Castle Summer Series, which sold roughly 70,000 tickets in its inaugural year

Independent roots

Before Live Nation, Waller founded independent UK promoter Soundcrash Music, presenting more than 300 shows annually and working with artists including Bonobo, MF DOOM, Jon Hopkins and George Clinton. Soundcrash was acquired by Live Nation in 2018.

The 20-year industry veteran has also owned and operated venues in East London, and co-founded and programmed international festivals such as Soundwave Croatia and Paradise Island Festival in Thailand.

“Spending eight years at Live Nation was an incredible journey. However, my heart has always belonged to the independent music world, where creativity, innovation and entrepreneurial spirit can thrive. I’m excited to be returning to those roots working with DHP Family. We’ll be developing unique new live experiences and fresh ideas that bring artists and audiences together in memorable ways. There are some very exciting announcements on the horizon.”
