Spotify has introduced a setting that lets users stop children’s and family music from shaping their personalized recommendations and annual Wrapped summaries.

The new toggle is rolling out globally on mobile for both Free and Premium accounts. It appears in Settings and is turned on by default, meaning kids’ and family music is included in a user’s taste profile unless they choose to exclude it.

  • Available globally on mobile for Free and Premium users
  • On by default; can be turned off in Settings
  • Removes kids’ and family music from taste profile and recommendations
  • Does not block searching, listening, or playlist creation
  • Applies retroactively to past listening

The change also applies retroactively. Kids’ music that has already been played will no longer count toward a user’s Wrapped.
