New Feature Allows for Personalized Audio Content
Spotify has expanded its capabilities to include the saving and playback of user-generated audio content, referred to as Personal Podcasts. This development builds on the platform’s existing offerings of music, podcasts, and audiobooks, accessible across more than 2,000 devices.
Users are increasingly utilizing external tools to create personalized audio content, such as summaries of educational materials or daily schedules, and have requested a method to access this content within Spotify.
The new feature allows users to save these Personal Podcasts directly to their Spotify Library, maintaining cross-device compatibility.
Currently, users employing agents like OpenClaw, Claude Code, or OpenAI Codex on desktop can utilize a beta tool to convert generated content – including daily summaries, notes, and schedules – into a podcast format saved to their Spotify account.
Examples of potential use cases include creating a daily briefing with weather updates, meeting reminders, and podcast recommendations, or developing in-depth audio guides for learning new subjects by synthesizing notes, articles, and search results.
The feature is available to eligible Spotify Free and Premium users globally. The experience will be refined based on user feedback, and usage limits may be implemented during the beta phase to facilitate testing and learning.
