Industry Updates: Spotify, Eurovision, and More

This week saw developments from Spotify, including a new ticketing initiative, alongside news from Eurovision, legal proceedings, and artist partnerships.

Spotify launched Reserved, a program offering concert tickets to fans based on their listening habits. The company also announced licensing agreements with Universal Music Group for fan-made covers and remixes.

Bulgaria’s Dara won the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest on Saturday.

fakemink’s debut album, Terrified, included the track ‘All Eyes On Me,’ which was also featured on New Music Friday.

Mumbai-based artist the sound chalk makes released ‘CSM for bullshit,’ his first track on Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist.

Topaz Jones released ‘11:49’ featuring Mick Jenkins, alongside a new music video.
