During the second weekend of Tomorrowland 2026, Bebe Rexha made her debut on the Freedom stage, armed with advice from longtime collaborator David Guetta: “Pure energy. Go hammer it.”
Rexha, who has teamed with Guetta on tracks including ‘I’m Good (Blue)’ and ‘Sad Girls’, shared the guidance in an interview on Tomorrowland‘s One World Radio ahead of her performance.
“This is something I’ve never done before… I wanted to do something as if it was like a DJ and a popstar had a baby. I didn’t want to do a regular pop set. So I went to David Guetta and I said, ‘Guetta, you’ve done Tomorrowland 20 times, I need your help. What does this need to sound like and feel like?'”
Guetta’s response, she said, was direct: “It needs to be pure energy. Just go hammer it.”
Rexha described the 30-minute set as “very high energy” and a “really cool mix” of her own material and dance classics. The performance included her 2015 collaboration with G-Eazy, ‘Me, Myself & I’, the Guetta hit ‘I’m Good’, Benny Benassi‘s ‘Satisfaction’ (remixed by Guetta in 2022), and Darude‘s ‘Sandstorm’.
“Everything is over 135 BPM. It’s very intense,” she added. When she asked Guetta about lowering the tempo, he replied, “Absolutely not.”
Earlier this year, Rexha reworked Faithless‘ classic ‘Insomnia’ for her track ‘New Religion’.
Tomorrowland‘s second weekend is proceeding with limited pyrotechnics and no large-scale fireworks, following a wildfire risk warning issued by Belgian authorities.
