Deezer has released a free online tool that lets listeners scan playlists from 20 streaming platforms for AI-generated tracks, the company announced. The detector arrives as the platform reports that synthetic music now makes up more than 44% of daily uploads.
The web-based tool uses Deezer‘s proprietary AI detection technology, which has been operational since early 2025. Users can export a playlist from services such as Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music, then upload the file to receive a track-by-track analysis identifying likely AI content.
Deezer disclosed that it receives nearly 75,000 AI-generated tracks per day, accounting for over 44% of total daily deliveries. In 2026, the platform detected and tagged more than 13.4 million AI tracks.
The company also shared migration data: 43% of users who joined Deezer from other streaming services had AI-generated music in their existing playlists.
“By detecting and tagging AI generated music over the past year and a half, Deezer has been at the forefront of transparency in music streaming,” said Alexis Lanternier, CEO of Deezer. “No other company has followed our lead yet, so we decided to make it possible for everyone to check if their playlists include synthetic music, no matter which streaming platform they use.”
“A vast majority of people want to know if AI music is being recommended to them and our data shows that nearly half of the users joining Deezer from another platform have AI tracks in their playlists. We’re expecting our AI music detector to be an eye-opening experience for listeners around the world.”
