VIBE Artist Workshop and Showcase Set for Soweto in June

A two-day programme combining an artist development workshop and a live showcase will take place in Meadowlands, Soweto, on 26 and 27 June, aimed at equipping emerging South African creatives with practical industry skills and performance exposure.

The VIBE Artist & Talent Development Workshop on 26 June will convene aspiring artists, DJs, producers and music business professionals for educational sessions. Topics will include the music business, copyright and intellectual property, artist wellness, branding and digital marketing. Organisers intend the sessions to deliver actionable knowledge and direct engagement with established industry figures. Selected participants may also earn a slot to perform at the following day’s showcase.

The VIBE Showcase on 27 June will present developing talent alongside established acts, with the goal of highlighting local artists and encouraging cross-sector collaboration.

The two-day event is open to artists, producers, music professionals and members of the public. Tickets are available through Computicket, and local emerging artists can apply to attend the workshop.
