“Proud to be a part of this crew, proud of this layer, and proud Miami accepted us”
Medium Cool is closing its venue in Miami Beach.
Writing in a post on Instagram yesterday (19th July), the venue confirmed it is closing on 22nd August.
Located in the basement of Miami’s Gale hotel, Medium Cool was opened by Miami bar lynchpins Dan Binkiewicz, David Martinez, Josh Harris and Naren Young in 2023.
The venue is known for hosting local and international DJs at evening events, including resident DJs Mike Deuce and Pazmal, as well as guests including Nabihah Iqbal. Medium Cool has also been a hotspot for electronic events during Miami Music Week, which takes place every March.
“After nearly four wonderful years, we are on the hunt for a new home,” read the post. “That said we have the whole month of August to enjoy jazz, cocktails, conversation and dancing under the disco ball together.”
In an interview with World Red Eye, co-founder Joshua Wagner said: “Proud to be a part of this crew, proud of this layer, and proud Miami accepted us”, while urging people to join in on the farewell celebrations throughout August.
