Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido has released his sixth studio album, ORIADÉ, via Columbia Records UK. The 13-track project explores themes of faith, heartbreak, grief, wealth, and gratitude.
The album’s title references a Yoruba concept of destiny and divine alignment. It opens with “On The Road” and closes with “My Light,” featuring Llona.
ORIADÉ includes collaborations with artists from multiple countries and genres, including Black Sherif, JAZZWRLD, GL_CEEJAY, NO11, Mayorkun, Fola, Leon Thomas, and Aya Nakamura.
The album follows the singles “I Know Who I Be” (featuring JAZZWRLD and GL_CEEJAY) and “Gimme Dat Ting” (featuring NO11), which fuses Afrobeats and Amapiano. The track “Tell Everybody,” featuring Leon Thomas, examines vulnerability and romantic longing, building from a sparse arrangement to an emotional chorus led by Thomas’s vocals. Its official visual is set to premiere on 2 August.
“ORIADÉ is the most explorative I’ve ever been on a record,” Davido said. “Fifteen years in, this album is me looking back at everything, the wins, the losses, the things I’ve had to survive, and choosing joy anyway. It’s a thank you to the people who’ve walked this road with me, and a reminder that everything that’s happened to me was always written.”
Davido will perform two London shows in August: A Royal Night in London in Kentish Town on 11 August, and the sold-out Davido & Friends Festival on 14 August.
With more than 30 million social media followers, Davido has been a central figure in Afrobeats’ international expansion. Earlier this year, he completed the 42-date 5IVE ALIVE TOUR, which visited 12 countries across four continents, and made his debut at Coachella.
He was also featured on the official 2026 FIFA World Cup album on the track “No Place Like Home,” a collaboration with Major Lazer and Nelly Furtado. During his World Cup opening-night performance, he used the global platform to draw attention to the kidnapping crisis in Nigeria.
