Venezuela-born artist Arca has released a new album, ‘XXXXX’, via XL Recordings.
The 16-track project follows a livestream event on 23 July, where Arca performed the album in its entirety. In the weeks since, 12 videos from that performance have been shared publicly.
The two-hour Diva.Experimental livestream was performance directed by Daniel Sannwald, with lighting design by Matiere Noire, and was staged in an abandoned factory in Barcelona.
‘XXXXX’ follows Arca’s twice Grammy-nominated album ‘KiCk i’, also released on XL Recordings, which formed part of the ‘KICK’ pentalogy.
