Ambient Label Hit Snooze Officially Launches

Hit Snooze, a new ambient music label distributed by The Orchard, launches to provide wellness-focused audio and alternative revenue streams for producers.

Offers wellness for listeners, and economic opportunities for creators

Having already amassed more than 200 million streams worldwide with artists including Other Planes, sleeperbuild and Casting Stones, wellness-focused ambient music label Hit Snooze has officially launched. Global distribution comes via The Orchard.

Hit Snooze specializes in immersive ambient recordings designed for sleep, rest, and decompression.

The label says it’s guided by the ethos “Moments of Peace for People with Purpose,” and reframes rest as a necessary and productive part of modern life.

Calling itself a “brand-forward label,” each release is paired with original visual art from illustrators around the world.

To celebrate its launch, Hit Snooze is offering a set of six “unalarm tones” – calming alternatives to standard alarm sounds – alongside a limited edition vinyl release, lounge-inspired apparel, ceramic tea seats, and fine-art prints.

Hit Snooze is co-founded by Ron Walker (Managing Director), Sean Wharton (Head of A&R/In-House Producer), and Eric Wilkinson (Head of Creative & Brand Development).

Prior to launching Hit Snooze, Walker held senior roles including Vice President of Global Streaming and Commercial Partnerships at Thrive Music, and Director of Streaming & Playlist Strategy at Capitol Records.

Hit Snooze says it collaborates with artists who maintain active primary projects across indie, electronic, pop and dance music.

The company handles branding, artwork and release strategy, allowing artists “to create freely while opening up a meaningful, scalable revenue stream that complements their existing careers rather than competing with them.”

Its roster includes Other Planes, sleeperbuild, Casting Stones, since 1993, northwood, and oneone oneone – ambient projects by artists also known for primary work as On Planets, Blue Wednesday, Tails, Dillan Witherow, Rome in Silver, and Aviino / Jim alxndr, respectively.

Ron Walker, Managing Director: “We saw a massive opportunity in ambient music that wasn’t being fully realized – wellness not just for listeners, but for the creators as well. There’s an entire generation of producers and songwriters with strong technical chops who are burned out by the hamster wheel of the modern release cycle. Hit Snooze creates a lane where their skills can translate into something sustainable, scalable, and creatively fulfilling.”
