Independent distribution and services company Amuse has named Mark Mitchell and Tim Cronin as senior executives to lead its Artist & Label Services division, expanding its UK presence.
Mitchell’s previous roles include Co-President of Parlophone Records, General Manager at Atlantic Records UK, and a year at 0207 Def Jam/Universal Music Group. He will lead artist development, label strategy and global marketing across the UK, US and Scandinavia.
Cronin joins from FUGA, where he was Senior Director of Business Development. He has previously worked across records, publishing and artist management. In his new role, he will oversee the expansion of Amuse’s tailored services for growing and established acts and labels.
London office and insights platform
Amuse is opening a new London office. Mitchell and Cronin will lead the company’s London, New York and Stockholm teams, which manage artist marketing, catalog development and optimization, plus A&R (artists and repertoire) and sales.
The company also plans to launch an invite-only insights platform this fall, designed to support marketing and label teams.
Giorgio D’Ambrosio, chief executive officer of Amuse, said:
“We’re seeing growing demand from labels and management teams looking for an active, modern partner. Amuse combines a human approach and data with the scale only a distributor can offer. Mark and Tim bring more than 40 years of combined industry experience between them, and will be able to bring Amuse’s unique offering to artists and labels alike.”
