Deezer will introduce a toggle before the end of 2026 that lets listeners exclude fully AI-generated music from search results, giving users control over whether that content appears when they look for music.

Switching the filter on will hide tracks and albums generated entirely by artificial intelligence (AI), along with related artists. Users can switch it off to restore access to that content.

The feature is intended to help listeners discover human creators. In a Deezer/Ipsos study conducted in November 2025, 45% of music streaming users said they wanted the option to filter fully AI-generated music out of their streaming platform.

The Paris-headquartered service currently receives 90,000 fully AI-generated tracks each day.

Alexis Lanternier, Deezer’s chief executive officer, said:

“We’ve seen a clear user demand for the ability to filter out AI-generated music, and we are now giving everyone the option to remove this content completely from their streaming experience on Deezer, and focus only on human creators and creations, if they wish.”
