ESWACOS Creative Industries Development Fund Opens for Applications

The eSwatini Copyright and Neighbouring Rights Society (ESWACOS) has begun accepting applications for the Fund for Creativity and Artist Development, a component of the recently established Creative Industries Development Fund (CIDF).

The initiative is designed to offer financial assistance to creators and rights holders in eSwatini to support the development, production, and promotion of original copyright works. ESWACOS stated the fund’s purpose is to bolster local creative output and contribute to the expansion of the nation’s cultural sector.

Grants awarded to successful applicants may reach E5,000 per project. ESWACOS clarified that it maintains the discretion to approve the full requested amount or a partial sum, based on evaluations of project proposals and the availability of funds.

The fund will provide support for various creative and professional development endeavors.

ESWACOS specified that only projects that are new or currently in development will be evaluated. Projects that have been finished, released commercially, published, or fully produced prior to the application deadline are ineligible.

The submission deadline for applications is June 30, 2026. ESWACOS indicated that applications received after the deadline or those that are incomplete may not be reviewed.

Applicants can reach ESWACOS with questions via email at documentation@eswacos.org.sz, by phone at 76024199, or by visiting their offices at Embassy House Building, Gwamile Street, Mbabane.
