JYP has sued distributor OneSync and its founder, Miles Gaines, alleging they distributed a copy of Han’s pre-release track “back to life” under another artist’s name.
JYP filed the suit in a California federal court. According to the complaint, Han released a pre-release music video for the track on Stray Kids‘ YouTube channel in early May 2026. JYP alleges that OneSync and Gaines then copied the recording and uploaded it to digital service providers (DSPs) as “back to life,” credited to an artist named yungzzz.
JYP says it asked iGroove to identify yungzzz. The complaint states that iGroove identified Hitmaker as the party that delivered the disputed track to DSPs. Hitmaker’s counsel subsequently identified Gaines as the account holder and said his email address was associated with OneSync, where he is listed as founder and chief executive officer.
JYP is seeking relief for direct copyright infringement and an alleged violation of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) involving the removal and alteration of copyright management information.
Gaines said he understood that the recording had been submitted through a third party and that he was unaware of the upload at the time. He said OneSync was reviewing the allegations, account activity and submission records, and intended to cooperate through the legal process.
