MÖRDA, the Grammy Award-nominated South African producer, DJ and songwriter, has released Asante IV, the fourth album in a series named after his daughter.

The project extends the creative path set by the first Asante album in 2022, exploring themes of movement, introspection, joy, ambition and human connection. The series has become a core part of MÖRDA’s catalogue, documenting his personal and artistic evolution while showcasing his approach to electronic music.

Six-part visualiser series

The album is accompanied by a six-part visualiser series that expands the narrative beyond the music. The interconnected chapters combine sound, storytelling and visual art to deepen the project’s emotional themes.

Contributors to the visualiser series include:

  • Mpumelelo Xaba
  • Mbongeni Yaka
  • Thabo Hlahla
  • Bakang Mokgautsi
  • Nkululeko Njapa

MÖRDA’s recent international recognition includes a Grammy Award nomination and performances at venues and festivals worldwide, as his work continues to draw attention to South African electronic music.
