South African producer and vocalist Mr Brown has released King of Melodies, a new album that he describes as a celebration of his journey and a thank you to his supporters.

The project draws on the Lekompo sound and broader Southern African musical traditions, blending soulful vocals with dance rhythms and personal storytelling. It follows years of work that have positioned Mr Brown as a prominent figure in the region’s dance music scene.

The lead single, “Sorry,” features Zambian artist Yo Maps and Makhadzi Entertainment. The track addresses themes of accountability and forgiveness over a dance production that bridges musical styles across the continent.

“King of Melodies is a celebration of the journey that has brought me here. Every challenge, every victory and every lesson has shaped this music. More than anything, this album is for the people who believed in me from the beginning and continue to walk this journey with me. Thank you for making this our story, our sound and our moment.”
