A new electronic music venue, ORIGIN Los Angeles, will open in the city’s Arts District in late summer or early autumn, backed by the founders of several established nightlife brands.

The club is the project of Roni Mehrabian and Cyril Bitar, the duo behind SBCLTR and Minimal Effort, as well as events including Brunch Electronik, The Maze, and Resolution. They describe ORIGIN as

a purpose-built, music-first space

designed for electronic music, live acts, and a range of cultural programming.

While specific line-ups have not been announced, the venue has outlined its weekly schedule:

  • Fridays: live bookings featuring both major and independent artists.
  • Saturdays: daytime outdoor events followed by late-night house and techno sessions.
  • Remaining days: club nights, live concerts, promoter partnerships, private events, and large-scale cultural activations.

The club will be equipped with a custom analogue sound system from KV2 Audio, with a separate system dedicated to outdoor programming. Visual design is led by Marc Dizon, whose previous projects include Brooklyn Mirage (now Pacha New York), Output in Brooklyn, Hakkasan Las Vegas, and Sound in Los Angeles.
