Primary Wave Music has entered a partnership with the estate of Donna Summer, the singer who died in 2012, to manage her music catalog, recordings, and name, image, and likeness (NIL) rights.
The estate will gain access to Primary Wave’s marketing team and publishing infrastructure, collaborating on new marketing, branding, digital, and sync opportunities, as well as film and television projects.
Summer sold more than 100 million albums worldwide during her career. She placed 32 singles on the Billboard Hot 100, with 14 reaching the Top 10 and four hitting Number One. Her catalog includes “Hot Stuff,” “I Feel Love,” “She Works Hard For The Money,” and “Last Dance.”
She was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2021 and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2025.
The agreement follows a series of catalog and NIL deals for Primary Wave with artists such as Intocable, Pete Townshend, and Hipgnosis co-founder Aubrey “Po” Powell.
