Spotify has released three new Sessions episodes from Latin America, featuring artists from Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico. Each episode is a five-track video EP created by the artist alongside a music director and a visual director, with full creative freedom over the production.
BLAIR’s Argentine Session
The first episode spotlights Argentine artist BLAIR, performing tracks from her album BAR SCORPIOS. Rock musician Marilina Bertoldi served as music director, while Dana Campanello led visual direction. The video expands the album’s cinematic world and includes a quartet-backed cover of Soda Stereo‘s “Entre Caníbales.” BLAIR is an EQUAL ambassador and won the 2026 Gardel Award for Best New Artist.
Matchola’s Brazilian Session
Emerging artist Matchola filmed his Session in Salvador, a city known for its cultural and musical heritage. Russo handled musical direction and Rodrigo de Paula oversaw visuals. The result highlights the genre diversity and cross-pollination of Brazil’s current music scenes. This is the third Spotify Session from Brazil, following episodes with Ana Castela and KayBlack featuring Burna Boy.
Blnko’s Mexican Session
Genre-blending alternative artist Blnko collaborated with Chetes, a respected Mexican musician, producer, and arranger, for a cross-generational project. Production company TRIPLESIETE provided visual direction, crafting an aesthetic centered on a “neighborhood vampire,” a melancholic character with modern vampiric undertones. Filming took place at the historic Centro Cultural Helénico chapel in Mexico City, using gothic architecture and shadow-focused lighting to reinforce an intimate, emotional atmosphere guided by a curated color palette.
