Warner Music Finland has acquired the catalog and publishing rights of Mökkitie Records, a prominent independent label in the Finnish music industry, and will integrate its artist roster and core team into the major’s operations.

The acquisition builds on a decade-long working relationship between the two companies. Mökkitie’s roster includes artists such as Erika Vikman, Mira Luoti, Olli Halonen, and Arttu Wiskari.

As part of the transition, several key personnel moves have been confirmed:

  • Arttu Wiskari has signed a new multi-year artist agreement directly with Warner Music Finland.
  • Janne Rintala will continue as a central creative contributor in songwriting teams and other artist projects.
  • Olli Saksa, formerly Managing Director of Mökkitie, will join Warner Music Finland’s A&R department.
  • Producer Mika Laakkonen will divide his time between studio production and leading the new Katutano label, which entered into a distribution agreement with Warner Music earlier this year.

Olli Saksa, Managing Director of Mökkitie Records, said:

“Our nine-year label collaboration with Warner Music has yielded countless releases, signings, live shows, and chart-topping hits. Transferring this incredible catalog and legacy to Warner Music is the natural next step in our shared evolution. We’re collectively energized about the future and look forward to what we can achieve in the coming years.”
