Andreea Gleeson, former Chief Executive Officer of TuneCore, has been named Chief Executive Officer of music funding platform beatBread.
Gleeson’s initial priorities include expanding beatBread’s presence outside the United States, strengthening partnerships with distributors and labels, and developing its underwriting capabilities.
She joined TuneCore in 2015 and became its CEO in 2021. Gleeson left the company in January 2025 and later founded AGA (Andreea Gleeson Advisory), which advises companies and investors across music, media, and technology.
She succeeds Tracy Maddux, who has led beatBread on an interim basis since November 2025 following the death of co-founder and CEO Peter Sinclair in August 2025. Maddux, a long-term advisor to beatBread’s board, will remain involved during the transition.
Since its launch in 2020, beatBread reports it has provided more than USD $100 million in advances to over 2,000 artists and labels across 42 countries.
Gleeson said:
“I’ve spent much of my career focused on what independent artists will need next, and access to better capital on artist-friendly terms is one of the most important opportunities ahead. I’m excited to work with this team to bring better funding solutions to more artists and independent music businesses around the world.”
