Stem has added Jeff Stempeck to its leadership team to focus on artist and label relations.

Jeff Stempeck Joins Stem as VP of A&R and Label Partnerships

Stem announced the appointment of Jeff Stempeck as Vice President of A&R and Label Partnerships. The company, established in 2015 and based in Los Angeles, provides digital distribution and financial tools for independent artists and labels, in addition to marketing and strategic support.

Stempeck will be based in Los Angeles and will concentrate on growing Stem’s network of independent artists, labels, and strategic partners.

The company stated he will collaborate with the Artist & Label Relations team to “further strengthen [Stem’s] position as a leading partner for independent artists and labels seeking flexible, artist-first infrastructure and long-term strategic support.”

Stempeck brings over 15 years of experience in the independent label, distribution, and music technology sectors, having previously worked at The Orchard, Spotify, and TikTok.

For the past three years, he was at SoundOn, TikTok’s distribution and artist services platform, where he signed and developed artists including Ley Soul, Sam Austins, NESYA, JMSN, Dana and Alden, and Mon Rovìa.

During his time at SoundOn, he also broadened the platform’s label and partner relationships through agreements with Broke, Thirty Knots, Tribal Trap, Everything’s Yours Entertainment and Duetti.

The appointment reflects Stem’s ongoing investment in services for artists and labels as the company increases its presence within independent music communities.
