Warner Music Japan has appointed Eitaro Shibasaki as Chief Business Officer (CBO), effective October 1. He will report to Takeshi Okada, President and CEO of Warner Music Japan.
Shibasaki will lead business development and commercial operations in the Japanese market. His remit covers strategic planning, partner relationships, market share and revenue growth, and new market opportunities.
He brings more than two decades of digital music and industry leadership experience. At RecoChoku Co., Ltd., he became Executive Officer, Director of Marketing, and Head of Platform in 2015.
While at RecoChoku, he co-founded the Eggs Project, a joint venture with telco NTT DOCOMO, Inc. and Tower Records Japan Inc. When the project spun off as Eggs Co., Ltd. in 2019, Shibasaki was named its President.
