Laylo Appoints EMEA Director

Digital marketing platform Laylo has expanded its operations in the UK and Europe with the appointment of Taz Sharp as Director of Artists & Events, EMEA. Sharp will be responsible for leading the company’s growth throughout the region.

Her role will focus on collaborating with artist managers, promoters, festivals, and record label teams to gather first-party fan data and incentivize fan engagement.

Sharp has over 15 years of experience in music, technology, artist development, and brand marketing. She previously worked at the AI-powered Discord platform Levellr, where she developed the company’s music division and collaborated with artists including Fred Again.., Bring Me The Horizon, Oasis, and Gorillaz.

The platform provides tools for artists and event organizers to establish direct connections with fans regarding ticketing, merchandise, pre-sales, and music releases.

Initially focused on SMS marketing, Laylo has evolved into a wider marketing solution offering fan segmentation, bot detection, and integrations with social media, streaming services, e-commerce platforms, and ticketing systems.

Artists including Zara Larsson, Noah Kahan, and Muna have utilized Laylo’s RealFan technology – employing unique codes and two-factor authentication – to offer verified fans exclusive pre-sale ticket access and to prevent bot activity.

Alec Ellin, Co-Founder & CEO of Laylo, stated: “Taz brings deep experience across artists, fan engagement, and live events at a pivotal moment for the industry. As more artists and event teams prioritize direct audience relationships and verified fan experiences, expanding across the UK and Europe is a huge priority for us.”
