Sound Royalties Hires Melanie Cameron to Lead UK Growth

Sound Royalties, a Florida-based company offering funding solutions for music and entertainment professionals, has appointed Melanie Cameron as Regional Director of Business Development for the United Kingdom.

The appointment supports Sound Royalties’ international expansion plans.

The company stated it currently collaborates with creators in 33 countries across North America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

Cameron, based in London, will be responsible for expanding Sound Royalties’ operations within the UK and increasing its market presence.

She will report to Michael Bizenov, Managing Partner, and Allison Portlock, EVP of Marketing.

Cameron previously held the position of Member Relationship and Development Manager at PPL, a UK collecting society.

In her prior role, she contributed to growth in the organization’s market share and international revenue collections, and led client account management, initiatives, and revenue optimization strategies for rights holders and creators.

Melanie Cameron stated, “Throughout my career, I’ve seen first-hand the financial challenges many creators face, and how the evolving landscape demands more modern, flexible solutions. Sound Royalties has built an outstanding reputation for supporting creators, rights holders, and independent entertainment companies with funding that genuinely works for them, and I’m proud to be able to help expand that mission across the UK. After many years working across the music industry in neighboring rights, rights management, and creator services, this feels like a natural next chapter.”

Sound Royalties’ services are particularly relevant for independent entertainment companies, rights holders, and creators.
