Sunita Kaur Named President, Asia for Universal Music Publishing Group
Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) has appointed Sunita Kaur as President, Asia.
Based in Singapore, Kaur will be responsible for the company’s operations throughout the continent.
The company stated she will focus on fostering growth, reinforcing UMPG’s position in significant markets, and contributing to a more collaborative and progressive music environment.
Kaur will collaborate with UMPG teams in the region to support songwriters and artists by providing resources, collaborations, and protections to facilitate their success.
Kaur will report to UMPG Chairman & CEO Jody Gerson.
UMPG described Kaur as an experienced leader with a background in music, digital media, and technology.
Previously, she held the position of Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific at Twitch, a global live-streaming platform. She also served as Vice President, Revenue, Asia Pacific, and Managing Director, Southeast Asia at Spotify, and as Director, Asia at Facebook.
