InterSpace Distribution is hiring for four open positions, all full time and all based at the company headquarters in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. The roles cover content operations, artist and label management, community and content, and sales and partnerships.
The listings are published on the company careers page at interspacemusic.com/jobs, last updated September 2026. Applications go to hr@interspacemusic.com with the role name in the subject line. Shortlisted candidates receive a written task followed by two interviews, and the company puts the typical time from application to offer at two to four weeks.
Content Operations Manager
This role owns the release pipeline end to end: submission, QC (quality control) review, rights and metadata checks, and DSP (digital service provider) delivery scheduling. The manager maintains metadata quality standards and catalogue consistency across the platform, coordinates with engineering on delivery pipeline issues, DSP rejections and reporting gaps, and troubleshoots stuck or failed deliveries across store partners.
The role also builds and documents content operations processes as the catalogue scales, supports rights-matching review, and reports on operational measures including turnaround time, rejection rate and backlog.
Requirements: experience in digital music distribution, content operations or catalogue management; strong attention to detail with metadata and rights data; comfort working across spreadsheets, dashboards and internal admin tools; a process-oriented approach to building and documenting workflows. Direct experience with DSPs such as Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube Music is listed as a plus, as is the ability to work across engineering and support teams.
Artists & Label Manager
This is the primary point of contact for a portfolio of independent artists and labels distributing through InterSpace. The manager onboards new artist and label accounts, guides them through catalogue setup and release scheduling, and reviews release submissions for metadata accuracy, rights clearance and delivery readiness.
Beyond release mechanics, the role is expected to identify growth opportunities for roster clients, including playlist pitching, marketing support and release strategy, to track release performance and hand clients insight they can act on, to escalate technical or royalty issues internally, and to keep artist and label relationship records accurate in the CMS.
Requirements: three or more years in artist management, label services or music distribution; a working understanding of the DSP ecosystem and release workflows; strong relationship management and communication; comfort with data and dashboards for tracking catalogue performance. Familiarity with African music markets is listed as a strong plus.
Community Manager / Content Creator
This role grows the company presence across social platforms, engages the artist and label community, and produces content covering product features, artist wins and industry moments. The work includes planning and publishing on a consistent cadence across channels including X, Instagram and TikTok, producing short-form video, graphics and written content, and monitoring and answering mentions, comments and direct messages.
The role also tracks trending conversations in music and technology and converts them into timely content, works with the editorial and product teams to turn blog posts, product updates and data into social-ready material, reports on engagement, follower growth and content performance, and helps coordinate community moments such as artist spotlights, giveaways and platform announcements.
Requirements: experience managing social or community channels for a brand, ideally in music, entertainment or technology; strong writing and visual storytelling, including short-form video and editing tools; genuine knowledge of the African music scene and the wider global industry; a data-informed approach to content; the ability to run a content calendar independently. Familiarity with music distribution or DSP culture is a strong plus. Applicants are asked to send a portfolio or links to content they have made alongside the CV.
Sales and Partnerships Manager
The fourth opening is listed as full time in Port Harcourt and is applied for by email rather than through a listing page. Candidates should write to hr@interspacemusic.com with “Sales and Partnerships Manager” in the subject line.
Where the Work Sits
InterSpace Distribution has staff in six countries, with Port Harcourt as headquarters and colleagues in Accra, Johannesburg, Amsterdam, Mumbai and Hanoi. Roles are based in Port Harcourt unless a listing states otherwise. Some positions are remote or hybrid, and each listing specifies its own location. The platform the team operates is built in house.
What the Shape of This Hiring Says
Three of the four roles are operational or client facing rather than engineering. That is a useful signal for anyone planning a career in distribution: once a distributor has built its own stack, the work that grows fastest is the work of moving catalogue through it accurately and keeping the people who own that catalogue informed. Metadata quality, delivery monitoring, rejection handling and client onboarding are not support functions in that model. They are the product.
For independent artists and labels reading this as clients rather than candidates, the same list doubles as a map of who handles what. Release and delivery problems sit with content operations. Catalogue strategy, onboarding and performance questions sit with artist and label management. Royalty and technical faults get escalated out of both.
