Merlin Bolsters Global Partnerships Team with Senior Promotions

Merlin has promoted Emma Robinson to Vice President, Partnerships. The move is one of several recent senior promotions within the company’s partnerships division.

Robinson will continue to manage significant global partner relationships and contribute to the development of Merlin’s overall partnership strategy, encompassing established Digital Service Providers (DSPs), social media platforms, and new Artificial Intelligence (AI) services.

She initially joined Merlin in 2018, focusing on the areas of commercial strategy, rights management, and platform relations to support independent labels and distributors in the digital marketplace. Previously, she was employed at music and entertainment communications agency Name PR.

Alice Moss and Daniele Yandel have been promoted to Director, Partnership Operations, and Simon Marcel has been elevated to Manager, Partnership Operations.

Moss joined Merlin in 2024 and is based in Berlin. She has overseen integrations of members with partners such as Udio, Singa, and Audiomack, as well as initiatives related to Meta’s content policies.

Yandel, located in New York, has been with Merlin since 2020. Her background includes experience as an independent label owner and musician, which the company states provides a unique perspective to her role.

Marcel, based in London, joined Merlin in 2023, and the promotion acknowledges his increasing contributions to the company’s operational support infrastructure.

Charlie Lexton, CEO of Merlin, stated: “These promotions recognize a group of executives who have played an important role in strengthening Merlin’s partnerships and operational capabilities during a period of rapid change across the digital music landscape. Emma, Alice, Daniele and Simon each bring deep expertise, strong industry relationships and a clear commitment to supporting Merlin’s members globally. As the digital ecosystem continues to evolve, from AI and social platforms through to new rights management challenges, investing in the people helping independent music companies navigate that complexity remains a key priority for Merlin.”
