Andrew Jenkins is leaving his position as President of the Asia Pacific Region at Universal Music Publishing Group after almost two decades with the organization. Jean-Sebastien Permal is transitioning from Sony Music to Warner Music, where he will serve as SVP of A&R, EMEA and Central Europe. He will be responsible for overseeing all frontline A&R activities in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands, and Belgium. He has a history of artist development and cross-cultural collaboration, having worked with artists such as Amelie Lens, Dystinct, and Purple Disco Machine, and founded the electronic label Noted Records.
Jeff Stempeck has been appointed VP of A&R and Label Partnerships at Stem, following three years at TikTok’s SoundOn platform focused on signing and developing independent artists. Julie Swidler is departing Sony Music after 18 years as EVP of Business Affairs and General Counsel. She will conclude her role at the end of June to establish her own advisory practice.
