Warner Music Group’s ADA (Alternative Distribution Alliance) has announced a partnership with Boy George after his song ‘We Will Dance Again’ was removed from Bandcamp. The Culture Club singer had said he would find another way to release the track.

Boy George wrote the song after visiting the Nova Music Festival Exhibition in London. It commemorates those killed in the October 7, 2023 attack at the festival and expresses solidarity with Jewish people.

“All loss of innocent lives is tragic and horrific,” Boy George said. He described the lyric “If you are confused, I stand with the Jews” as the song’s most important line to him, saying he intended it as a statement of support amid a rise in antisemitism, rather than a political statement.

Boy George had a series of UK Top 10 singles with Culture Club, including the No. 1 hits ‘Do You Really Want to Hurt Me’ and ‘Karma Chameleon.’ He later pursued a solo career and performed internationally as a DJ.

He is scheduled to play two shows at Tel Aviv’s Menora Mivtachim Arena in November. Tickets sold out almost immediately. After those concerts, he is due to tour UK arenas with Culture Club ahead of next year’s 45th anniversary of the band’s debut album, Kissing to Be Clever.

In May, Boy George received a lifetime achievement award at the British LGBT Awards. Warner Music Group said it supports creative freedom for artists and songwriters of different backgrounds, beliefs and viewpoints.
