SoundCloud has designated RepostExchange as its first official community promotion partner, granting the platform access to SoundCloud’s partner API for deeper integration.
Industry bodies including the IFPI (International Federation of the Phonographic Industry) have long worked to curb services that sell artificial likes, followers, and streams. SoundCloud’s move aims to steer its artist community toward ethical promotional tools.
RepostExchange, launched in 2017, enables artists, DJs, producers, labels, and promotion channels to exchange track reposts and peer feedback on SoundCloud. The company reports a community of more than 500,000 users.
SoundCloud’s announcement described the service as “a safe, bot-free way for artists to grow their audiences,” drawing a direct contrast with less transparent promotion providers.
“With the deeper integrations this partnership unlocks, we are excited to roll out even more powerful tools to help artists break through,” said RepostExchange CEO Ed Worboys.
