Splice has partnered with producer Nicholas Piantedosi, known professionally as Decap, to launch a new samples label that will release sound packs exclusively on the Splice platform.

Decap is the creator of the Drums That Knock sample library, whose sounds have been used in tracks by artists including Bad Bunny, Charli XCX, Karol G and the Chainsmokers. His work has generated more than 20 million downloads.

The label plans to issue packs on a regular basis and will feature contributions from emerging producers and sample-makers. “Drums That Knock used to drop maybe once a year. Now, I can create or curate more packs, more genres, and sounds I’ve never tried,” Decap said. “I’m moving into more of a leadership role, transitioning from working alone to collaborating with like-minded sound designers who fit my vision.”

On the same day, Splice also released four new Originals libraries from Spitfire Audio, the virtual instrument company it acquired last year.
