thumpN, an India-based AI-native live entertainment discovery and ticketing platform, has raised more than $3.75 million in a pre-seed funding round as it officially went live on Monday, July 6.

The platform deploys a conversational AI agent, named Shadow, to recommend live experiences tailored to individual user preferences, spanning concerts, comedy shows, festivals, sports events, and other live gatherings. Shadow’s recommendations are supported by a network of curators that includes artists, promoters, and venue insiders.

thumpN also provides audience insights to artists, venues, and promoters, enabling them to better market and manage their events. The service is currently targeting users across metropolitan cities as well as tier II and tier III markets in India.

The pre-seed round drew backing from Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Paytm CFO Madhur Deora, Capitalmind Co-Founder Shray Chandra, Hyperlink Brand Solutions Founder VG Jairam, and artists Arijit Singh, Sunidhi Chauhan, and Badshah. The company said the capital will be used to expand its platform.

“This started from a simple frustration. Discovery today is fragmented across social feeds, algorithms, WhatsApp groups, and word of mouth,” said Varun Khare, CEO of thumpN. “The explosion of India’s live entertainment market, combined with the shift toward conversational and AI-native consumer behavior, has created an opportunity to rethink discovery from the ground up.”
