Keep in mind that our team reviews your content daily, but to keep the process moving, we suggest you check the status of your release frequently once submitted in order to avoid delays.
To ensure successful distribution across all streaming platforms, we recommend setting the release date at least 10 business days following the date of your submission. Proper timing is crucial, as it ensures everything is reviewed and approved.
Original Release Date vs Consumer Release Date:
- Original Release Date: This signifies the initial date when your release was first made available to the public.
- Consumer Release Date: This indicates the date when your current version of the release is being released to consumers
- These should be different for re-releases. However, for new releases, these dates are the same.
Double Check Your Credits:
Please make sure to include a “Composer” credit for all releases, the composers are the ones responsible for melody, chords, rhythm and harmony.
A “Lyricist” credit is required for all releases which contain lyrics.
- All credited Composers and Lyricists must be credited using their full legal names, refraining from the use of nicknames and artist names.
- Please make sure to include a “Performer” credit for all releases.
- All primary and featuring artists on the asset must be given a “Performer” credit.
- If the performer is singing on the track(s) please also add “Vocals” as the instrument.
- Properly crediting all individuals involved ensures they receive the recognition they deserve.
Barcode and Catalog Field:
The barcode and catalog fields should be the same. Once you generate your barcode, please copy the barcode number into the catalog field.
Release Formats:
When submitting your release, make sure to choose the correct format to avoid rejections:
- Single: 1 to 3 songs
- EP: 4 to 6 songs
- Album: 7 or more songs
