BMG has acquired the publishing, recorded music royalties, and neighboring rights interests of Andrew Stockdale, the vocalist, guitarist, and principal songwriter behind the Australian rock band Wolfmother.

Stockdale co-founded Wolfmother in Sydney in 2004. The group has since amassed hundreds of millions of streams, and won a GRAMMY Award for Best Hard Rock Performance in 2007 for the single “Woman.”

The band’s catalog has been licensed across film, television, advertising, and video games, including:

  • The Hangover
  • Jackass Number Two
  • Ted Lasso
  • Guitar Hero

The agreement extends BMG’s existing relationship with Stockdale, who has been signed to the company as a global publishing client since 2016.

“I couldn’t think of a better place to have my share of the catalog than BMG. We appreciate the amazing syncs BMG has created over the years, helping cement Wolfmother’s music in popular culture, and we’re looking forward to seeing what opportunities await with the great team at BMG.”
