ENHYPEN began a Japanese cinema run of its latest virtual reality (VR) concert on October 2, with seven cities scheduled. The screenings add a ticketed cinema format to a field that also includes in-game performances and festivals.
ENHYPEN VR CONCERT: DESTINY combines a performance with a fantasy narrative experienced through headsets. Selecting a group member changes elements of the experience.
HYBE Japan has also outlined international screenings and a larger slate of VR concerts continuing in 2026.
Roblox performances and festivals
Bruno Mars appeared as an avatar in Roblox’s Steal a Brainrot on January 17, performing “I Just Might” and “Locked Out of Heaven.”
Guinness World Records verified 12,862,161 concurrent viewers, awarding the event the record for the largest music concert in a videogame by a single artist.
The appearance consisted of two songs within an existing game, a different format from ENHYPEN’s ticketed cinema screenings.
In Poland, Virtual Vibes opened its fourth edition on Roblox on September 23, with further concerts scheduled through October 14. Admission is free, and organizers advertise Polish Sign Language interpretation.
The lineup includes:
- Eryk Moczko
- Zippy Ogar
- Palion
Connecting games with physical festivals
Singapore alternative music festival Baybeats launched its Roblox world, Beatsverse, on August 4. It features music from more than 20 Singapore artists.
Activities at September’s physical festival allowed players to unlock extra features and rewards within the game, connecting participation at the venue with the online experience.
Live Nation and Livewire announced Music Festival Tycoon in July. Players build festivals in the game, with Lollapalooza serving as its first real-world festival integration.
