Brazilian DJ and producer Mochakk and Scottish artist Barry Can’t Swim carried the official game ball onto the pitch ahead of the Brazil vs Scotland World Cup match in Miami on Wednesday, 24 June. The two musicians were selected to represent their nations at the tournament fixture, which ended in a 3-0 victory for Brazil.
Following the match, the pair performed a back-to-back DJ set at Miami’s Club Space.
Mochakk recently released a dancefloor-focused remix of Nina Simone’s 1964 track ‘See-Line Woman’, which originally appeared on her album Broadway-Blues-Ballads. In 2025, he marked the first anniversary of his OBLIQO club by staging a one-day festival on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles with an all-Brazilian lineup.
Barry Can’t Swim’s second album, Loner, was released last year via Ninja Tune. It followed his 2023 debut When Will We Land?, which received nominations for the Mercury Music Prize, Scottish Album of the Year, and a BRIT Award.
