MUBI has acquired global rights, excluding North America, to Cameron Winter at Carnegie Hall, a concert film shot and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson.
The film captures Cameron Winter, frontman of Geese, in a stripped-back solo performance at New York’s Carnegie Hall. Winter was among the youngest solo artists to headline the venue’s main auditorium.
Anderson, an Oscar-winning director of There Will Be Blood, shot the project on 35mm and 16mm film. It will have its world premiere at the 64th New York Film Festival.
MUBI plans to screen the film in 2027. Janus Films and Criterion will handle the North American release.
Winter will also release Live at Carnegie Hall, a live album documenting the performance, on October 9 via Partisan/Play It Again Sam. The live album was recorded and produced by GRAMMY-winning producer Ariel Rechtshaid.
